Which are the medical conditions that our clinical trials are being conducted for?
The main areas of our ongoing clinical trials include several different medical conditions. The further development of the therapy methods and drugs used for their treatment is essential.
Heart failure is a condition characterized with the heart’s inability to pump or accept the right amount of blood, meaning that this condition is observed even in patients with regular ventricular blood flow. The lower flow rate is not able to pump enough blood to the tissues inside the body. Heart failure is often compensated for by higher ventricular flow pressure.
This condition leads to fatigue after minor activity, pulmonary congestion and shortness of breath.
Patients suffering from endometriosis have part of their endometrium (inner layer of uterus) located outside of the uterus itself. The endometrium can be found around it but it could also spread through other area of the body. The condition brings discomfort, pain, and even infertility. Women in childbearing potential are mostly affected by this condition.
The most common symptoms include menstrual pain and disruption in menstrual cycle.
Major Depressive Disorder
This condition is also known as clinical depression or unipolar disorder. It is a mental disorder mostly caused by a strong feeling of desperation or sadness. MDD’s symptoms include the feeling of constant depression, low self-esteem, lack of interest in fun and leisure activities.
The most common causes of this condition are high stress levels, social pressure or isolation, unfortunate events, loss of loved ones or close friends, chronic diseases, hormonal imbalance.
Ulcerative colitis is a condition known to impact the digestive system. The condition leads to inflammation and ulcer of the colon mucosa.
The symptoms are usually not related to accumulated stress. Diarrhea and stomach ache are the main indicators for ulcerative colitis. Other symptoms include nausea, regurgitation, fatigue, weight loss, lack of appetite, skin rash, and joint pain. In most cases, the symptoms are similar to other types of colitis, as well as to Crohn’s disease, which has a broader impact on the affected tissues.
The condition is a type of mental disorder causing disruption in emotional reactions and disorganized thinking. Symptoms usually include hallucination, social withdrawal, difficulties in communication, paranoia, lack of motivation, inability to work.
Schizophrenia causes delusions, frequent episodes of psychosis, overexcitement and inability to adapt to social norms.
