Pediatrics

Pediatrics is a specialized branch of medicine that focuses on the health, development, and well-being of children — from birth to adulthood. It encompasses both the monitoring of physical, neuropsychological, and emotional development, as well as the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of childhood diseases.

Pediatrics plays a key role in the early detection of growth and developmental deviations, the establishment of healthy habits, and the support of parents in caring for their children.

The age range covered by pediatric medicine includes all stages — newborn, infant, preschool, school-age, and adolescence (0–18 years).
The goal of pediatrics is not only to treat illnesses but also to lay the foundation for a healthy and fulfilling life from the earliest years.
