Urology

Prof. Pencho Genov is a specialist urologist with over 10 years of experience in Ruse and Sofia. He performs examinations in all areas of urology and andrology. His priorities are: enlarged prostate, kidney stones, genitourinary diseases, prevention and treatment of infertility in men, premature ejaculation, urethritis.

Education

Prof. Genov graduated from the Medical University of Varna in 2007. He completed a urology fellowship in 2013. In 2017, he acquired the educational and scientific degree of PhD in Medicine with a thesis on a topic related to premature ejaculation.

Qualifications

Prof. Genov is a member of the Bulgarian Association of Urology.
He holds qualifications for laser surgery of the prostate and kidney stones and ultrasound of abdominal organs.
He has participated in:
Laparoscopic training course in Delhi, India and Strasbourg, France;
National congresses and seminars on the specialty;
Clinical trials for innovative drug therapies.

Professional practice

After graduating in 2007, Prof. Genov began working at the Urology Department at Kanev University Hospital, Ruse. He has held a private practice as a specialist urologist in Ruse since 2013 and currently performs examinations at Hera Medical Center, Sofiamed, and Dr. Shterev Medical Center. Fluent in English and Russian.
