Dr Ivayla Ilieva

Psychiatry

Dr Ivayla Ilieva is specialist psychiatrist in Sofia. She is conducting examinations in all fields of psychiatry and has scientific interests in the field of modern treatment of schizophrenia, biological therapy, peri- and post-natal affective disorders. She had taken part in clinical trials in treatment of schizophrenia, recurrent depressive disorder, , generalized anxiety disorder, Alzheimer’s disease. Currently she is an investigator in numerous of clinical trials for innovative drug therapies in biological treatment of mental illnesses.

Education

Dr Ilieva graduated from Sofia Medical University in 2017 and since 2019 is full-time PhD student at Sofia Medical University and completed her PhD in 2023. Currently Dr Ilieva is specialising psychiatry at UGHAT “Aleksandrovska” – Psychiatry Clinic.

Qualifications

Dr Ilieva has taken part in many international trainings; Furthermore, she is primary investigator in numerous of clinical trials for innovative drug therapies in the biological treatment of mental illnesses and is also taking part in various national and international congresses and seminars in the field of psychiatry.
Dr Ilieva is also a member of the Bulgarian Medical Association.
