Dr. Ivaylo Lefterov

Dr. Ivaylo Lefterov is an endocrinologist based in Sofia. He has more than 25 years of experience and is interested particularly in diabetes, metabolic syndrome, and obesity. He is capable of diagnosing and treating patients suffering from diabetes, thyroid diseases, osteoporosis, pituitary and adrenal diseases, performs ultrasound diagnostics etc. Adult patients accepted only.

Education

Dr. Lefterov graduated from the Medical University of Sofia in 1996. He specialized in Internal Disease and Endocrinology and obtained his diplomas respectively in 2003 and 2012.

Qualifications

Member of the Bulgarian Medical Association, Bulgarian Endocrinology Association, and Diabetes Association in Bulgaria;
Participated in European and national seminars as a member or tutor;

Biography

Dr. Lefterov teaches students and participates in clinical research. He is currently the head of department in 5th MHAT in Sofia, as well as part of Medical Center Hera’s team. Fluent in English and German languages.
